STACKING CRANE FOR HIGH-DENSITY STORAGE OF LONG MATERIALS
MAXISTC is a stacking crane designed for the automatic storage and handling of long and heavy materials such as profiles, bars, pipes, and industrial extrusions.
MAXISTC is a stacking crane-based automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) designed for the intensive handling of goods up to 7 meters in length in industrial environments characterized by high volumes and a large number of load units, where manual processes often create bottlenecks.
MAXISTC is the right choice for operations handling 400 or more load units, where organization, operational continuity, and service speed are critical to overall system efficiency.
Key Features
» Over 400 load units are managed
» Maximum material length: 7 meters,
» Two load units are processed simultaneously,
» 100% automated cycle
This design takes advantage of both the vertical and longitudinal dimensions of the building, significantly reducing the footprint compared to traditional storage systems.

How Does It Work?
At the heart of MAXISTCis a stacking crane that operates in a storage aisle where metal racks are arranged in bays.
» The crane moves simultaneously along the horizontal axis (X) to traverse the system and along the vertical axis (Z) to position itself between storage levels.
» It moves simultaneously along the horizontal axis (X) for movement throughout the system and along the vertical axis (Z) for positioning between storage levels.
» Every storage and retrieval cycle is fully automated, ensuring continuous operation without the need for manual intervention within the system.
SPECIAL LOADING UNITS FOR LONG LOADS
MAXISTC transports steel load units (LU) that can be configured according to the stored material.
The shaped ends ensure proper and precise placement in the storage slots, maximum stability during transport, and the surface protection required for materials with surface sensitivity when used with aluminum profiles.
AUTOMATIC CHANGING AT OPERATING STATIONS
While serving loading/unloading stations, the stacking crane performs a combined operation in a single cycle: it picks up the loading unit containing processed material and drops off a new loading unit containing material to be processed. By combining return and delivery into a single movement, empty trips are eliminated, cycle times are reduced, and system efficiency is improved.
HIGH SECURITY STANDARDS
The operating area of a stacking crane is a secure and controlled zone. Perimeter security, controlled access points, and emergency stop systems enhance workplace safety and reduce operational risks by minimizing the operator’s exposure to the handling of long and heavy loads.
Notes
» The 500 mm height is not compatible with pushers.
» Upon special request, the machine can be equipped with components designed to operate beyond the specified climate limits
This system is a fully automated storage solution designed specifically for long materials, offering space-saving benefits and reducing reliance on operators.
» Closed system → material remains undamaged
» Operator safety is improved
» Compatible with next-generation factory automation
» Can be integrated with ERP/WMS systems
» Reduces the need for forklifts in internal logistics
» A more organized and safer production area
» Quick access to the desired item
» Inventory management methods such as FIFO and LIFO can be applied
Thanks to its four-way access, it adapts easily to your factory, reduces the need for forklifts, and
speeds up your production process.
» Access to the system from all directions
» Provides layout flexibility
» Easily adapts to the factory layout
» Specialized automation for long profiles, pipes, and bars
» Automatic loading/unloading with a stacker crane
» Thanks to vertical storage, significantly more products can fit into the same space
» Significant space savings compared to traditional shelving systems
» Material intake and output processes are managed automatically
» Operator intervention is minimal
